A Somali political analyst says the time has come for a comprehensive approach to combating the al-Shabab terrorist group in the Horn of Africa other than one that relies only on a military solution. Faysal Abdi Roble says the group has been operating in the region for almost 20 years, and despite a military campaign by the African Union, al-Shabab continues to wreak havoc. This comes as Kenya on Wednesday decided to delay the planned reopening of its border with Somalia due to sustained al-Shabab attacks inside Kenya. Roble tells VOA’s James Butty, Kenya is making a gut reaction to the al-Shabab problem.
