Sierra Leone President Talks Women Empowerment Bill

In a recent interview with VOA's Peter Clottey in Washington, Sierra Leone President Julius Bio said his administration has implemented strong measures in favor of women. Bio, who was among the leaders attending the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit, explained why he signed the Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment Bill, which aims to protect women, create a platform of empowerment and guarantee 30% women participate in both government and corporations.
