Sierra Leone’s main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) on Monday called for an investigation into the shooting of one of their supporters at the party's headquarters in the capital, Freetown, during a press conference held by APC presidential candidate Samura Kamara. The shooting of the APC supporter left civil society groups and poll observers calling for peace in West African nation after the opposition party said police officers shot live bullets and teargas at their headquarters. For updates, VOA’s Peter Clottey reached Abdulai Bayraytay, the spokesperson for Kamara’s presidential campaign team.
