A court in Senegal ordered that jailed opposition leader Ousmane Sonko be reinstated on the electoral register, paving the way for him to run in February's presidential election. Sonko faced several court cases in recent years, all of which he denies. Sonko says he has been the victim of a campaign to prevent him from running for president. VOA's Yeheyes Wuhib spoke with reporter Alpha Jallow, who monitored the court proceedings in Dakar.
