Russia, Egypt Launch El-Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday launched the construction of a new unit at Egypt’s El-Dabaa nuclear power plant, alongside the North African nation’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, via video link.
Construction of the plant will be carried out by Russian state corporation Rosatom and will consist of four power units with a combined capacity of 4.8 gigawatts.
