Sudan Paramilitary Unveils Political Vision [4:42]

Sudan's paramilitary force, the Rapid Support Forces, which has been engaged in a brutal armed conflict with the national army, has unveiled its political roadmap for resolving both the ongoing and historical conflicts in the nation. The RSF's vision centers around achieving a lasting ceasefire and initiating a process that leads to the establishment of a national army reflecting Sudan's diversity and operating under civilian authority. Additionally, the vision advocates for an inclusive civilian government that ensures the representation of marginalized groups within Sudan. VOA's Nabeel Biajo spoke with Salman Mohamed Salman, a Sudanese analyst, chairman of University of Khartoum Council and the author of the book "The Rapid Support Forces: Origins, Expansion, and the Path to the April 2023 War."
