Rockefeller Foundation Launches Feeding Program in Schools

Last week, The Rockefeller Foundation announced a $10.7 million grant to the United Nations World Food Program to help vulnerable children get better access to nutritious food through school feeding programs. The initiative aims to strengthen school meals for millions of children in Benin, Ghana, Honduras and India. The initiative focuses on including fortified foods in school meals as well as advocating for more nutritious food throughout the programs. Africa 54 health correspondent Linord Moudou spoke with Mehrdad Ehsani, vice president of the Africa Food Initiative at The Rockefeller Foundation.
