Report: Anemia Prevalent in Western, Central Africa

Almost 2 billion people worldwide were affected by anemia in 2021, according to a 2023 study. Anemia occurs when red blood cell concentration is lower than usual. The study also found that the condition was especially prevalent in Western and Central Africa. Mohammed Yusuf reports from Nairobi on what can be done to reverse the problem in Africa.
