Religious Groups in DRC Demand Inquiry Before Acceptance of Results

The powerful Catholic bishops conference and Protestant churches in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) have demanded an independent inquiry be opened into irregularities and alleged legal violations observed during December general elections. Mulengwa Zihindura, the president of the center for political and strategic studies in DRC and a former spokesperson for President Joseph Kabila tells VOA's Douglas Mpuga that the Catholic church in DRC is a powerful institution, whose demand should be taken seriously.
