Release of Ivorian Soldiers Ends Diplomatic Stalemate With Mali

Forty-six Ivorian soldiers arrived home from Mali late on Saturday having been detained amid political tensions. Their release signals an apparent resolution of a diplomatic standoff between the West African neighbors. The troops, which Ivory Coast said were part of a United Nations peacekeeping mission, were arrested at the airport in Mali's capital Bamako in July.
