President Bio Says Peace Restored in Freetown

Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio has been addressing the nation following Sunday’s attack by unidentified gunmen on a military armory in the capital, Freetown. In a Sunday night speech, President Bio said most of the leaders of the attack have been arrested and detained and that calm had return to the city. The president vowed to hold those responsible accountable. Reporter Kelvin Lewis in the says the capital, Freetown, was still tense overnight, and that the incident has dampened the holiday spirit of most Sierra Leoneans.
