Opposition Wins Guinea-Bissau Legislative Elections

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has congratulated Guinea-Bissau opposition coalition in parliamentary elections and praised the ruling party for gracefully accepting defeat. Serigne Mamadou Ka, acting head of the Elections Assistance Division of ECOWAS tells VOA's James Butty the success of the election is the culmination of ECOWAS efforts to promote democracy in the subregion.
