Zimbabwe held national elections last week which observers, opposition parties and civil society groups say were marred by irregularities and intimidation of voters, leading to questions about the results. The national Electoral Commission announced over the weekend that incumbent President Emmerson Mnangagwa – the candidate of the ruling ZANU PF party – has won a second 5-year term.
