Ugandan politician Robert Kyagulanyi, or Bobi Wine says the Oscar nomination ‘Bobi Wine: The People’s President’ helped draw global attention to his efforts to democratize his country. The movie, nominated for best documentary, lost out to ‘20 Days in Mariupol’, based on Ukraine. Bobi Wine, a popular musician turned politician, spoke to Jackson Mvunganyi from Los Angeles, about why he became a politician and his advocacy for the marginalized youth.
