Kolawole Oluwadare, the Deputy Director of a Nigerian society group called the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, tells VOA’s Peter Clotty that plans by Nyesom Wike, the Minister for the Federal Territory Capital, to remove beggars from the streets of the Abuja starting Monday are illegal. Oluwadare says the minister's ultimatum shows that the government's much-hailed measure to alleviate the economic challenges many face has failed.
