Nigeria Scrambles to Contain Meningitis Outbreak

Health authorities in Nigeria are sounding the alarm over rising cases of meningitis in several northern states, warning of an outbreak if not contained. The World Health Organization classifies meningitis as an epidemic-prone disease requiring immediate notification, investigation, and necessary action.
