Nigeria’s President Tinubu Probes Drone Strike on Civilians

Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered an investigation into an apparent accidental bombing of a community in Kaduna State by the army. About 85 people were said to have been killed and 66 injured, including women and children. According to the Nigeria Daily Post newspaper, the president described the bombing as “very unfortunate.” Kabiru Mato, professor of political science at the University of Abuja, tells VOA’s James Butty, there have been investigations in the past, but he’s not sure if any reports have been made public.
