Nigeria’s Labor Congress signs minimum wage deal with government

The Federal Government of Nigeria and Organized labor signed an agreement late Monday night over the minimum wage controversy. The Nigerian Labor Congress and the Trade Union Congress began an indefinite nationwide strike Monday (June 3) over a new national minimum wage and for the government to reverse the hike in the electricity tariff. The strike paralyzed much of the country on Monday.
