Nigeria Moves to Cut Official Travel Cost

Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made a 60 percent cut in official domestic and international travel. The Daily Post of Nigeria reports only 20 persons will accompany the president on foreign trips, while the VP and First Lady will each have five persons. Information minister Mohammed Idris Malagi tells VOA’s James Butty President Tinubu is concerned about the high cost of official trips and wants to reduce costs in light of the citizens' economic hardship.
