Niger's military-appointed prime minister, Ali Mahaman Lamine Zeine, said Monday he saw hopes of a deal with the West African bloc, ECOWAS, which has threatened to use force to restore civilian rule after a coup in July. "We are confident that in a few days' time we will be able to reach an agreement very quickly so that all these measures can be lifted," Zeine said during a press conference in the capital Niamey.
