About 50 million people worldwide are suffering from Alzheimer's disease, according to the World Health Organization. For Africa 54, VOA's Linord Moudou spoke to neuroscientist Dr. Mahmoud Maina who said there needs to be more awareness about the disease in sub-Saharan Africa.
