National Dialogue Panel in Senegal Proposes Rescheduling Presidential Election

Senegal’s President Macky Sall, who faces the end of his second term, said in early February he was postponing the presidential election for 10 months, just weeks before it was set to take place on February 25. A national dialogue panel in Senegal has proposed rescheduling the presidential election to early June, the first new date proposed since parliament voted earlier this month to hold the election in December.
