Mpox outbreak spreads to Europe, Asia

The Democratic Republic of Congo says an Mpox outbreak has killed 548 people this year and health experts say the epicenter of the outbreak is in Goma where cases continue to rise. The first cases of the virus's more dangerous variant outside Africa were recorded in Sweden and Pakistan. Jean-Claude Nzay, a Corus International World Health Program specialist, spoke with VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart about what happening on the ground in Goma and what healthcare experts are doing to help those affected.
