Morocco’s Diaspora Citizens Aiding Quake Victims

A Moroccan-American says he is impressed by the generosity of Moroccans to help each other in the face of adversity. This, as Moroccan authorities said Thursday that 2,946 have died and another 5,674 people hurt from the 6.8 magnitude earthquake that struck the High Atlas mountains a week ago. Atlanta based Abderafih Benjelloun, was visiting Morocco with other Americans when the earthquake struck. He tells VOA’s James Butty, Moroccans have demonstrated immense generosity to help those affected by the quake.
