Authorities in Upper Nile are reporting an increase in cases of gender-based violence in Malakal, the capital of Upper Nile State. A state ministry official attributes the rise in abuse against women and girls to conflict, cultural factors, and other contributing elements. Mamer Abraham Kuot reports for VOA from Malakal.
