Liberia’s President Boakai reconstitutes war, economic crimes court committee

Liberian President Joseph Boakai has announced the formation of a committee to reconstitute the leadership of the office of a war and economic crimes court in Liberia. Earlier this year, the president appointed Johnathan Massaquoi to lead the office. But Massaquoi was criticized heavily by civil society and human rights groups for lacking the credentials to lead the effort and for once serving as a lawyer for some Liberian warlords.
