Authorities in Sudan’s South Kordofan State have declared a state of emergency in the area for one month following intercommunal clashes that have left four people dead and four others wounded. The governor of South Kordofan condemned the killings while issuing the state of emergency on Monday. For South Sudan in Focus, Michael Atit reports from Khartoum.
