President Salva Kiir has renewed calls for the international community to remove the arms embargo imposed on South Sudan. Speaking during the final session of the sixth Governors Forum in Juba Wednesday, Kiir urged those supporting the sanctions to reconsider their position, saying the world’s youngest nation needs arms to defend itself against external threats.
