Kenya is committed to ensuring the safe return of five chiefs who were abducted last month in Mandera between the border of Kenya and Somalia. The five were taken by a suspected Al-Shabaab militia while on the way to attend a meeting to plan how to cover a scheduled visit by President William Ruto to the region. Kenya’s interior principal secretary Raymond Omollo said the chief’s abduction is an indication that security is a concern to all citizens. Maureen Ojiambo reports
