Kenyan President William Ruto has appealed for US support to strengthen democracy and security in Africa, reduce debt, and enhance its investment in the institutions of Africa integration. Ruto spoke Thursday when President Joe Biden welcomed him to the White House for the first state visit by an African president to the White House since 2008. Ruto defended his decision to deploy Kenyan police to Haiti.
