Kenyan Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is expected to appear before parliament Tuesday to formally respond to impeachment charges against him. He is accused of alleged corruption, undermining the authority of the president, and financing the recent anti-tax protest, among other charges. On Sunday, the Deputy President asked for forgiveness from President William Ruto. He called a news conference on Monday to publicly defend himself and described the allegations against him as outrageous and sheer propaganda.
