Israelis in the Middle Eastern nation say they continue mourning the death of over 1,200 people, including 46 Americans, who were killed during an October 7, 2023 attack by Hamas — developments that led to ongoing fighting between the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and their militant rivals in Gaza, a Palestinian enclave.
