Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday addressed the Middle Eastern nation soon after the International Court of Justice, the ICJ, ruled largely in favor of South Africa in its case against Israel over its conduct in the war in Gaza against Hamas militants.
Responding to the outcome of the ICJ case, Netanyahu said South Africa’s charge of genocide was “outrageous”, adding that his nation has a right to defend itself. He also said Israel was committed to international law.
