The International Committee of the Red Cross says access to people displaced by fighting in Darfur remains extremely difficult amid ongoing conflict between Sudan’s army and the paramilitaries of the Rapid Support Forces. ICRC spokesperson for Africa, Alyona Synenko, tells VOA’s Nabeel Biajo her office managed this week to deliver crucial aid to thousands of displaced individuals living in dire conditions within al Fashir, the capital of North Darfur State.
