The International Criminal Court's chief prosecutor, Karim Khan, appealed Tuesday for information and evidence of atrocities in Sudan's western Darfur region, saying his ongoing investigation “seems to disclose an organized, systematic and a profound attack on human dignity." For more insight, VOA's Nabeel Biajo reached David Crane who was the founding Chief Prosecutor from 2002 to 2005 of the Special Court for Sierra Leone which indicted the President of Liberia, Charles Taylor, of war crimes. Crane remains involved in efforts to achieve justice in conflict zones including in Sudan’s Darfur region. He began by drawing a distinction between atrocities he prosecuted in Sierra Leone two decades ago and the situation unfolding in Darfur today.
