The deputy chairman of Sudan’s Sovereign Council, who heads the country's paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, says he regrets being part of the 2021 military coup that overthrew the transitional government of former Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok. General Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo, also known as Hemedti, says he is committed to carrying out the framework agreement which calls for the integration of all Sudanese forces.
