As World Health Day is celebrated, health practitioners say proper hand washing and drying contributes significantly to improving health worldwide.
Though a simple task, it can only happen with access to clean water. One inexpensive solution is a home-made device known as a “tippy tap” or “leaky tin.” VOA’s Carol Van Dam spoke to Joseph Righa, Africa region program officer for World Neighbors, who explained how to build a “leaky tin,” and its impact on communities minimal access to clean water.
