In Guinea, it appears there may be hurdles ahead for the trial of the suspects of a 2009 stadium massacre. The country’s justice minister Thursday froze the salaries of some judges who have been on strike for better conditions. On September 28, 2009, Guinean security forces fired on opposition protesters, killing more than 150 people. The trial of the alleged perpetrators, including former military leader Captain Moussa Dadis, is set to resume on October 3. Reporter Karim Kamara in Conakry, tells VOA’s James Butty, freezing of the judges’ salaries is likely to impact the trial.
