The death toll in the Guinea Conakry fuel depot explosion and fires has risen from 14 to 16 with the number injured increasing from 178 to 200, along with hundreds displaced, according to authorities. Guinea’s main fuel depot in the capital, Conakry, exploded Monday night. Daouda Mohamed Camara, editor-in-chief at Espace FM, tells VOA’s James Butty, the explosion and fires have caused gas shortages and high cost of transportation.
