Ghana Soccer Star Atsu Leaves Behind Legacy

The confirmation of the death of Ghanian soccer star Christian Atsu has left many in Ghana’s sports fraternity speaking on his life and legacy. The death of 31-year-old Atsu was confirmed Saturday after his body was recovered from the 7.8-magnitude earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria on February 6.  Ghanaian sports analysts Victor Atsu Tamakloe spoke to VOA’s Jackson Mvunganyi on Atsu’s impact on Ghanaian soccer and the many lives he touched beyond the football pitch through his philanthropy and social justice activism.
