Germany's Rudiger to Donate World Cup Salary to Sierra Leoneans

As the 2022 FIFA soccer World Cup kicks off Sunday in Qatar, German midfielder Antonio Rudiger says he will donate his World Cup salary to helping children in Sierra Leone suffering from congenital foot defects. Rudiger, whose mother was born in Sierra Leone, told a Spanish news outlet earlier this week that it was hurtful to see the circumstances in which Sierra Leone children grow up.
