Food shortages in South Sudan drive some to survive on water lilies

Residents of South Sudan’s Leer County in Unity State facing hunger say they are forced to eat water lilies to survive food shortages. Water lilies are bitter, hard for the body to digest and have little nutrition value, but they help keep people from starving. One resident blames the government for not doing enough to address food insecurity. The Transitional Government of National Unity says natural disasters caused food shortages in some parts of the country. Manyang David Mayar reports for VOA from Juba.
