The medical charity Doctors Without Borders is responding to a Hepatitis E outbreak in South Sudan’s Fangak County, affecting hundreds of women and girls. In collaboration with the Ministry of Health, MSF has launched a vaccination campaign following reports of at least 21 deaths from the virus. Nabeel Biajo speaks with MSF’s head of mission in South Sudan, Mamman Mustapha, to learn more about the campaign and the challenges encountered in reaching remote areas of the country.
