Ethiopia and Somalia’s breakaway region of Somaliland announced Monday a deal for Ethiopia to use Somaliland’s Berbera port. The French News Agency (AFP) says the agreement would enable the landlocked country to gain access to the Red Sea. Brook Hailu, a former political science professor at North Carolina A&T State University and general manager of Ethiopia's Nahoo TV tells VOA's James Butty the deal fulfills Ethiopia’s long desire for access to the sea.
