The Multi Stakeholder Forum of Eswatini says it is disappointed with the decision of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) to remove the country from the SADC agenda. SADC had been holding regular consultations with the Eswatini government and the opposition following deadly pro-democracy protests in 2021. Sivumelwano Nyembe, spokesperson for the Eswatini Multi-Stakeholders Forum, tells VOA’s James Butty, the decision raises serious concerns about SADC’s commitment to upholding democratic principles and human rights across southern Africa
