The editor of the online Swaziland News says Friday’s parliamentary elections means nothing because elections in Eswatini are undemocratic. Zweli Martin Dlamini fled Eswatini to South Africa two years ago. Editor Dlamini tells VOA’s James Butty, members of the Eswatini parliament have no power to hold the executive accountable and are forced to submit to the authority of the King.
