Basketball pundits say Egypt’s Al Ahly, the defending champions of the Basketball Africa League, BAL, are one of the biggest names in sports across the continent. In response, players of the North African team say they are excited to prove pundits correct by defending their championship at the finals of this year’s BAL, which will be held in Rwanda’s capital, Kigali. The Egyptian hosts of this year’s BAL Nile Conference have played four games to date. They won three and lost their first game of the conference yesterday by one point to Uganda’s City Oilers.
