DRC’S Rebel M23 Clashes With ‘Self-Defense Groups’

New clashes have been reported since last weekend in Masisi territory in North Kivu province in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, between the M23 rebels and self-defense groups that the rebellion describes as connected to the FARDC. New movements of civilians are being registered, disturbing the local civil society, which is calling the government to step up a gear. Zanem Nety Zaidi, our reporter in the DRC has the details.
