DRC Reinstates Death Penalty

The Democratic Republic of Congo recently reinstated the death penalty after more than two-decades. The decision was made as authorities struggle to curb violence and militant attacks. The justice ministry said the ban from 2003 allowed offenders accused of treason and espionage to escape proper punishment.
