DRC armed groups ‘must comply with international humanitarian law,’ says ICC

Karim Khan, the International Criminal Court’s Prosecutor, on Monday evening addressed media from Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and appealed for armed groups with operations in the nation’s eastern region, including the M23 rebels, to abide by international law as fears arise of conflict in the mineral rich region spreading.
